Legal Assistant - Civil Litigation (Full-Time) | Bexleyheath | Up to £29,000 DOE
My client is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Legal Assistant to join their busy Civil Litigation Department at their Bexleyheath office.
This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in legal administration or credit control to develop further, with progression into managing debt recovery and litigation files after suitable training.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and some secretarial support to fee earners
Input and update the case management system
Prepare and issue client bills and manage invoice payments
Liaise with clients by phone and email, managing general enquiries
Handle photocopying, scanning, filing, and general administrative tasks
Open and close client files accurately
Audio and copy type legal correspondence and documentation
Draft and send Letters Before Claim and issue proceedings when required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Proven experience as a legal assistant, secretary, or credit controller
Fast and accurate typing skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
